How to avoid your income taxes by using a PO Box in Ireland

Can you Pay Less Tax by buying a post office box in Ireland?
Like many American corporations, which the Supremes have decided are “people,” I want to “move” just my legal address to a country with lower tax rates so I can pay less. Recently, Johnson Controls, WI and Pfizer, NY, said they had “moved” to Ireland (not really). Recently, the NYTimes asked an expert how we real human beings can do the same to save taxes. We can’t do it, according to the expert. Corporations can give unlimited amounts to buy our elections and they can lie about their home and pay less tax. Apparently, corporations have more rights than ordinary Americans do. No surprise there—they can buy more politicians. We are billed for Pfizer’s $35 billion taxes! And Pfizer still gets to enjoy our courts, police, army, lifestyle benefits for FREE.
The Times forgot one way to avoid Pfizer’s taxes: http://www.amazon.com/The-Tax-Shelter-Young-Americans/dp/1500426520

Wealthy are seeding their next bumper crop of ... not tobacco but … marijuana
The next big thing for the 1% ers is outlawed in most states but has a growth potential bigger than alcohol. Your rich friends are looking for something new and exciting. “I was drawn to the newness and growth of the cannabis industry,” one said. Banks won’t touch the stuff but people with money to burn can’t resist “stirring the pot.” They just don’t tell their well-heeled friends. They call it an “agriculture play.” They look at the “12% return and 60 percent loan to value.” Most risk only 5% assets because “it can go up in smoke.”

This is why you don’t give money to hedge funds
Aequitas Capital Management appears to be unraveling before investor’s eyes. Everything looked good in 2015. Aequitas appeared to be a healthy, growing firm, opening a new division to serve investment advisors. At its peak, it reported some $1.7 billion in managed assets. It offered short-term notes through advisors paying 8-12% interest and a more than 2 percent commission to advisors. Then in late 2015, it told investors that it was unable to refund the notes when they became due. Now it is allegedly under investigation by the regulators.

Vanguard attacked because the fees are TOO low?
Disgruntled employee is after a government reward for telling the IRS that Vanguard owes it more money because Vanguard charges less for its services than all other mutual fund companies. Claim: Vanguard’s average expense ratio is 0.14 percent, compared with an industry average of 0.64 percent. That means Vanguard’s fees bring in about $4.5 billion a year, and if the fees were raised to the industry average they would bring in about $20.5 billion. Since Vanguard is run at break-even now, that difference would presumably be profit, and thus subject to corporate income taxes. This means more tax for IRS. This is like asking your food co op to pay tax on the profits it does NOT make because it could be like a Kroger store. Some people have too much time on their hands!

What happens after ObamaCare?
Despite GOP talk, the government did NOT determine my ObamaCare coverage—an insurance clerk determined what care I can receive. When going for an operation (my hip replacement), I called Horizon’s clerk and she read the manual for my ObamaCare contract. My daughter’s employer actually determines what their coverage is and how much she must pay herself. All GOP candidates wish to eradicate ObamaCare on Jan 21 2017. When that happens, how will we obtain care? Most insurance contracts run for a year so nothing will happen. The enrollment for 2018 is in Oct, so Congress has to pass a bill to make a new system. Insurance firms and hospitals and most providers will need another year to design and sell new GOPCare health contracts. So maybe 2020!
Since NO plan has been offered by the GOP (ObamaCare was GOP idea in 1993), we can only assume that Trump’s plan will be used. He promised "We'll work something out," when asked by ABCTV. He says he will have private plans; “great plans and health savings plans.” He “won’t let people die in the streets.” This sounds like what we had before so insurance clerks will continue to decide what treatments and surgery we will receive—IF we can afford coverage. The poor will go back to hospital ERs for primary and preventive care and we will still have the most expensive system in the world that only treats those with money. Hospitals are required to treat thanks to Reagan in 1986.

Defense contractors pay GOP to increase deficit another $18 BILLION
House GOP urging a steep increase in the Pentagon's budget have already received $10 million in campaign contributions. The 34 GOP lawmakers, all members of the House Armed Services Committee, are pressing for an $18 billion increase in the 2017 budget year. The Government Accountability Office has identified several areas of the department as "high risk" when it comes to waste and fraud, including weapons purchases and financial management. The committee's chairman, Mac Thornberry of Texas, topped the list of recipients with $941,700 in contributions made by employees of and political action committees sponsored by companies that do business with the Defense Department. (AP) We can’t stop contractors from buying our Reps but …

GOP Religion law allows discrimination in the name of Freedom
America had the rule of law so that every citizen is governed by the same laws, applied through a fair and equal judicial process to resolve disputes peacefully. But states like WV just passed a law that only protects those citizens who have a “sincerely held belief.” Part of the test for this belief is the practice of religion that does not seem to follow the rule of law. So apparently, if you are not a practicing member of a GOP religion, you have no standing with the Religious Freedom Restoration Act. This law creates a special class of American, and in the case of HB 4012, a special class of West Virginian. This special class may practice freedom of religion, but those who wish to have freedom from GOP religion have no special protections. 20 states have this law even though Supremes said “unconstitutional.”
The law protects GOP religionists so if they don’t want to serve a person they don’t like, they can refuse without legal liability. Discrimination is legalized. Religion justifies racism, sexism, intolerance. Jefferson called for a “Wall separating church and state” but now you must have a “GOP religion” to have the law on your side. This law makes GOP religion superior to civil law. It allows a business to tell employees what birth control they must use because the owner holds “sincerely held beliefs.” And the owners have the money to get an order from the Supreme court. We don’t.

Is this the American Future with the GOP?
Latin American women plead with westerners to send abortion pills. The overwhelmingly Catholic countries have criminalized access to contraception. Women are scared of giving birth to children with microcephaly, the mysterious condition marked by an undersized head and brain damage that doctors have linked to the mosquito-born Zika virus. Pope OKs contraception but silent on already pregnant. The Pope first answered by calling abortion an "absolute evil" and a "crime." “That is what the Mafia does.” Some priests still insist on no contraception to prevent pregnancy: “just wait for a year or two.” Cruz, Rubio, Bush say their religious beliefs will guide Presidency: Abortion illegal?
Will this become the US policy under GOP Religion in 2017?

Is it worth asking for a price check BEFORE seeing doctor?
Can you pay less yourself even when you have insurance to cover that MRI or exam? Some are finding the new world of health upside down. Some providers are cutting out the middleman (insurers) and saving you and themselves time and money. Before you have it done, take a price check at http://clearhealthcosts.com/. This site takes real prices paid from patients: Mammogram really costs $50 or $607?

Buy your “no repair” car with care
Lexus, Porsche, Buick and Toyota captured the top four spots in the annual vehicle dependability study which measures owners' complaints per hundred vehicles and was released one day after a similar survey by Consumer Reports magazine. These vehicles all had fewer than 114 problems per hundred, with Lexus (95) and Porsche (97) setting the pace.

How to file your taxes for FREE
Despite IRS advice to file early, Congress gave many financial firms until Feb 15th plus a 30-day extension for some tax reporting forms. So you must wait or end up having to file an amended return. One firm, FOLIOfn, told me they don’t send forms anymore. I must find them and download. You don’t need to send in the forms with FREE efile, but the Payor’s number and amounts are important. EG: FOLIOfn’s EIN is NOT for 1099s.
Once you have all your forms, pick a FREE efile site at https://www.irs.gov/uac/Free-File:-Do-Your-Federal-Taxes-for-Free. Most charge for state filing and will work for any income. When you are done, most let you carry data and credits to next year so you will have less to do. I had to amend 2013 and FreeTaxUSA let me input and print it for FREE. Most sites ask you questions you can answer (some with email help) so filing is easy unless you are hiding money overseas (Romney) or have multiple real estate (Trump) holdings. My refunds are maximized and I get my money in my account in 2-3 weeks.

You and I will be paying Johnson Controls $150 million tax bill

You and I must pay their taxes; Johnson Controls evades $150 million in taxes
Tyco in Ireland buys Johnson Controls but keeps name and headquarters in Milwaukee. A few papers are shuffled and our taxes or later taxes go up. It is that simple. Our ‘reps’ let it happen. Our average total tax burden is $17,372 (31.5%). We pay income taxes (federal, state and local), sales taxes and payroll taxes (Social Security, Medicare, and Unemployment Insurance). Since there are now thousands of companies leaving America or evading taxes, even getting refunds, we need over 8,800 more taxpayers this year just to cover Johnson Controls’ tax bill. The CEO used money for Ponzi scheme.
Don’t be the only one left paying taxes: http://www.amazon.com/Tax-FREE-Income-000-tax-free/dp/1477472584

Why not increase your tax refund $400-$800?
Study found you can increase your refund by doing these simple things. Even if you don’t want to do your own taxes, you need to test drive the FREE software to make sure your preparer checks for every creditFree File IRS. Tax credits reduce your tax not just reduce you income. Deductions are limited while a credit can eliminate any tax owed. Some even give you a refund when none is due from your income. Look at last year’s return to make sure you have received every form. All banks and brokers/advisors don’t meet the Jan deadline. Try itemizing even if you don’t have a mortgage and property tax deduction. Education and child credits are best. If you make under $53,000, EITC worth $6,000 just by working. Charity clothes/cash deductible. Claim everybody. Pension and SS may be excluded.

File your simple tax return for FREE
Many sites provide FREE federal e-file but charge $13 for state e-filing. The IRS approves these firms: https://www.irs.gov/uac/Free-File:-Do-Your-Federal-Taxes-for-Free. We are on our own: 51 million taxpayers called the IRS with questions in 2015; answer few. "I've tried to call them," says Lisa Ross, "I gave up." After waiting on hold for hours, some taxpayers were forced to give up. Do what you think is right (Google it) and send. Check if your preparer is legit at https://www.irs.gov/Tax-Professionals/Choosing-a-Tax-Professional. For short time, Fed and state returns are FREE for simple returns at https://www.taxact.com/index.asp and at http://www.olt.com/main/oltfree/default.asp

What to do when your investments go down?
You could sell and lock in your loss or you could wait for them to go up. Your emotions say sell now before you lose more. Your mind says wait—where would you invest if you sold? Would you then miss the increases that might come again, like Thursday and Friday last week?  Look at the chart of the past returns. It really depends on when you need to use the money. If you don’t need the money for at least 10 years, 2016 is a dip. If you need all your money next month, then you should not invest—you should buy CDs. Depending on your time frame, you can earn 11% or 3% a year.

Use the tax code to reduce taxes even if you aren’t wealthy
The wealthy use accountants, lawyers and tax shelters to pay a lower rate than we do. They have the money for avoidance strategies. Very profitable corporations receive “subsidies” worth over $63 billions each year. Check your list: mortgage, education, medical, investing, lump-sum, gifts, and more. Most millionaires became and stayed rich by working in their own business. They reinvested profits and deducted every expense. They built their retirement fund from their business success. Even a small business can provide hundreds of tax benefits to offset your salary. If you have no business to reduce taxable income, use a Tax-FREE account with fees under 0.50%. Keep more: “In every time period low-cost beat high-cost.”

Will you inherit $11 million Tax-FREE?

Will you inherit over an $11 million estate Tax-FREE?
Are you one of the lucky families that will inherit over $11 million estate tax-FREE?
Our Congress just voted to give a BIG tax break to the 5,000 wealthiest families. Repeal of the estate tax would mean that the wealthy with over $11 million can create a family dynasty. None of these wealthy people works on a farm or would lose their farm if Obama vetoes the bill. We would lose $300 Billion in taxes and we must make up. The 5,000 would still have $ millions after state inheritance tax in some states.

You can create a legacy for your family that is NEVER taxed
Your heirs have the option to keep building your legacy for another generation. They can either roll your Roth IRA into their own Roth IRA or cash out the account without penalty regardless of their age. Your beneficiary can transfer your non-taxable Roth IRA into their own account, if they do not need the money for retirement. They can then designate the account for their beneficiary. This can be repeated for each generation. If any heir doesn’t do the transfer, your account needs to be distributed within five years of the death or paid out in equal amounts over their lifetime.

Wealthy avoid taxes by NOT working
If you work, you pay taxes before you can buy food, housing or anything else. Not so with the wealthy. Look back to the 2011 Romney tax return shared by the candidate. Romney reported NO earned income. He actually paid more tax than required so that he could claim he was not one of the “47% of Americans who pay no income taxes. He called us “victims” who feel entitled to government handouts.” But we pay 33% on average—more than double his 14% rate.
Congress has reversed the American progressive tax system. The wealthy pay a smaller percentage of their income than we do—14% vs 32%.
Americans

Is an HSA right for you?
A Health Savings Account is tax-FREE money when it is combined with a high-deductible health plan. The IRS defines HDHP as an annual deductible of at least $1,250 per person or $2,500 family. Your HSA is deductible even if you don't itemize deductions. The HSA is great if you don’t have high health costs but a large deductible can prevent you from getting the care you need. You can write off $3,350 ($6,650 family) in HSA contributions on your federal income tax for 2015, plus a $1,000 catch-up if you're 55 or over. HSA balances roll over year to year so you could earn interest. Unlike an HSA, you must use an FSA by yearend or lose it.

Is Free File tax prep right for you?
The number of taxpayers filing self-prepared returns increased nearly 6 percent by the end of February according to the IRS. It has authorized a number of online software firms to provide FREE tax prep help at http://www.irs.gov/uac/Free-File:-Do-Your-Federal-Taxes-for-Free. The cost of commercial tax prep has increased with new ACA forms added this year so you can save up to $500. And there are still organizations that can help seniors and non-computer users. AARP offers in-person FREE file: http://www.aarp.org/applications/VMISLocator/taxAideLocations.action

Will the IRS keep your refund?
You may find a hole in your bank account if you were spending your tax refund before it came. The IRS can take it for several “worthy” causes: Delinquent student loans, ObamaCare penalty and/or subsidy, past-due state income tax, past-due child support, etc. The Treasury's Bureau of Fiscal Service, which actually issues refund checks, will inform you by letter of the dirty details. If they made a mistake, dispute it. Hey, you never know.

You can turn your IRA required distribution into TAX-FREE money
Many people work after age 67—the SS retirement age—and by age 71 are receiving mandatory distributions from their IRAs, 401k, 403b rollovers, and other pensions. These retirement funds were never taxed so Uncle Sam wants to be paid. You can pay it and then never pay tax on the earnings again. If you don’t need the money right now. You can send your RMD, as it is called, to your low-cost mutual fund inside a Roth IRA. When you need the money later, it and its earnings will be TAX-FREE. This will lower the income taxes on your other taxable accounts and Social Security benefits. You pay less tax overall with Tax-FREE income.

GOP crazies
America’s future looks grim using the just-passed GOP budget blueprint:
Military spending increase to $612 billion so we can prop up 3 Middle East countries; and Japan, Germany and S. Korea don’t have to pay for their own defense departments.
CUT $431 billion from Medicare. Convert seniors to voucher-like program.
CUT $236 billion from the budgets of non-defense agencies—fewer people services.
CUT $1 trillion from food stamps and welfare and repeal of the Affordable Care Act.
CUT Medicaid $913 billion. Convert to state block grants to shift cost to states.
37 million people would lose health insurance, doubling the ranks of the uninsured.
Obama says “failure to invest in education, infrastructure, research and national defense.”
McCain says “not legitimate budgeting.”
Ken Buck, (R) CO says “It’s all hooey.”
“I don’t know anyone who believes we’re going to balance the budget in 10 years.”

GOP President-to-be claims he is Hispanic to gain votes or impress Miamians?
Jeb Bush admitted Monday that he made a “mistake” in 2009 when he listed his ethnicity in a Miami-Dade County voter-registration form as “Hispanic.” The likely 2016 Republican presidential contender is, obviously, not Hispanic. How can you make a “mistake” since we answer “race/ethnicity” all the time? He did on March 6, 2009. Does Bush senior know Mrs Bush had a Hispanic son?
Can we see Jeb’s birth certificate? Is this another “oops, I forgot” GOP moment? Did he serve in the “National Guard” like W claims?

NJ Gov gives Exxon a break
Master ‘negotiator’ Chris Christie accepts only $225 M instead of $9 Billion and then uses the money to fill his budget gap and still can’t pay promised pension bill. Is this how the GOP will run the government? He is losing his shouting match in the polls.

74% of us have never calculated our monthly retirement needs
Also, 51 percent of retirees have never tried to determine if their current savings will be enough to last through retirement – though 39 percent assume what they have will not last 20 years – grim statistics indeed.

Do you know what you pay your broker/advisor?
A significant number of investors are in the dark about the fees they pay brokers, according to a new survey by a state regulator association. While most brokers/advisors charge annual fees to manage accounts, one-third of customers aren’t aware of the expenses, according to the survey by NASAA. The industry makes it hard to find the costs because they take as much as 63% of our retirement money in fees.

Long-term care insurance at risk
Genworth is weighing a breakup after steep losses on policies covering long- term medical care. GE is dumping its financial units so policy owners must contend with rising premiums and underwriting standards. Current owners may have some protection from state insurance funds. Future owners may be better off using alternatives.

Students lose coverage while in school
Some universities that provide health insurance to their students are stopping the practice, as they say the Affordable Care Act’s minimal essential health benefits requirements have led to unsustainable cost increases. Those that remain are turning to their brokers to determine the best way to continue offering coverage to their students.

SCAMS           Why are we still paying $700 Billion a year for WWII deployments? That is 27 cents of each dollar in taxes—the largest part of our money—and we aren’t even at war. We could pay off our debts and fix our schools, roads and bridges!
We are paying for 164,253 of our active-duty armed personnel to be in 150 countries around the world. We have about 50,000 in Japan and 50,000 in Germany.
Are we preparing for WWII again? There are 1,208,083[1] armed personnel in the United States. Our taxes pay for about HALF of the WORLD’s military expenditures every year. We have wasted $398.6 billion so far on the F-35 program—they can’t fly safely.
We just can’t afford to pay for everyone else’s defenses anymore.
Japan, Germany and S. Korea can pay to defend themselves.
The War on Terror requires SEALS’ attacks on top terrorists at their homes. Iraq proved converting a nation to Western-style republic doesn’t work. The troops we trained ran away. We are wasting $4 billion a year on Afgan tribal rivalries; paying ransom to Al Qaeda; supporting corruption with our money.

LPL Accused Of Improper REIT Sales By NH Regulators
LPL settled a similar case with the FIRA paying $950,000 for supervisory lapses in the sale of direct investments. In December 2012, LPL paid $2.6 million to settle a Massachusetts case involving improper sale of nontraded REITs. Last year, LPL’s top executives saw their bonuses drop, due in part to the adverse impact of regulatory charges. No one was fired or jailed. Will they do it again?

Wall St Banks need bailout by US for bets on oil prices
The same ‘players’ insured the oil drillers that prices would not fall. Now they must pay $26 billion. When they claim they nave no money, we will pay because Congress lets banks gamble with our money.
